About When to Swim

When to Swim lists public swimming times for every public pool in Lancashire, so you can see when you can swim today without opening a dozen leisure centre websites.

Where the times come from

We read each operator's official, public timetable (council websites, leisure trusts such as Better, Pendle Leisure Trust and Rossendale Leisure Trust, and community-run pools) and enter the public sessions by hand. We don't log in to booking systems, we follow each website's robots.txt and terms, and every pool page links back to the official source.

Some operators only publish a PDF, an image, an app or a booking system. We say so on the pool page so you know where to look.

How up to date is it?

Every pool page shows the date we last checked its timetable. If that was more than 60 days ago, the page says the times may be out of date. We currently list 31 pools and have times for 10 of them. Data last updated 5 October 2026.

Pools change times for school holidays, galas and maintenance, so always check with the pool before a special trip. If you spot a mistake, please use the "Report a wrong time" button on the pool page.
